Morning Update

I have just a couple minutes for a quick update, in between contractions!  We're here, we checked in last night around 7pm and the fun has already begun.  By, "fun" I mean all the perks of labor :) I'm hanging in there right now, breathing through contractions and waiting for a good time to get an epidural.  Don't want it too early to slow anything down, but I definitely want it the second it seems ideal!!  I have so much pressure on my lower back from this little girl :)

Last night was not a great night.  The drug I was on worked well, but the sleeping pill they gave me made me very nauseous and dizzy.  I  didn't sleep very much at all and I spent this morning vomiting from 5-8 am, but that is better now with a little zophran.  They broke my water and have started pitocin and I already hate contractions.  But I can't wait to have Ava here soon!  Enjoy some pictures from yesterday, thank you for your prayers!

Here I am with my night nurse, Jessica, whom I love already!  She told me my stomach was tiny and I was all baby...I loved her immediately!  She's taking great care of me and of Ava.
And here is the Daddy-to-be, trying to figure out his place in our room and trying to digest all that is about to happen.

one last meal........

Okay, I am coming out of lurk-dom to say I am having sympathy for you with the pitocin! I hated it with my little girl!

Excited for you and your hubby and little Ava though! Hang in there, you will get to meet her SOON! :)

Once I got my epidural, I made a LOT of progress. I think I was just too busy "fighting" contractions and not letting them do their important work. You are doing great! Can't wait to hear the good news!
